Last Call

Last Call was formed in July of 2005 by founding members Chris Reynolds, Evan Wheeler, David Lenda and Craig Carroll. All long time members of the Dayton, Ohio music scene, Chris, David, and Craig had long been familiar with each others’ musical careers. Chris and Craig had turned many heads as band mates in Festive Skeletons, and David had earned attention from his work with Spungewurthy. Evan was more the new kid on the block. Much younger than his band-mates, Evan had only broken onto the Dayton music scene in 2002. Though younger, armed with a lifetime of studying music, Evan had no trouble keeping up with his more experienced counterparts.

With the lineup decided all there was left to do was take the stage. Last Call was immediately embraced by the individual members’ respective long-time fan base. With an all-star line up soon firing on all cylinders, Last Call quickly began to fill the rooms around the Dayton area. The shows were big, the sound was bigger, and from the start Last Call looked to be headed for big things, but things would change.

One year into the project, Craig was ready to move on to other interests. Last Call would need a new drummer. The search was on, and several drummers were contacted. One of those drummers was Eric Patton, a veteran of the Cincinnati club scene. Though they had only heard Eric on a few occasions, his sound and resume were enough to make him the obvious choice.

From the first show, it was apparent that not only could the new line up play together, but they would all soon become fast friends. It’s this blend of ability, experience and chemistry that makes Last Call a stand out experience that is not only an opportunity to listen to some great songs and top-notch musicianship, but just a damn good time!!
